Bill Clifton

With two decades of experience in the construction services industry, Managing Director Bill Clifton brings considerable knowledge, and a passion for best practice, to the building of bespoke architectural houses and small-scale commercial buildings.

His ground-up training ensures his management style comes from a place of deep knowledge, and, in partnering with William Dangar to establish the Robert Plumb brand they have created a range of interrelated construction businesses that form the Robert Plumb Collective.

To date, Robert Plumb Build and its subsidiary building company Robert Plumb Fix have completed over 200 projects ranging from architecturally designed urban and rural homes waterfront apartments and boutique commercial buildings. Clifton has always focused on fostering collaborative relationships with award-winning architects and interior designers and has established a skilled roster of subcontractors and tradespeople to ensure the optimum outcome for any project.

He has worked hard to embed company values including an emphasis on clear communication, he is a natural problem solver and his commitment to business transparency is matched by commercial foresight and future planning.

William Dangar

William Dangar is one of Australia’s pre-eminent landscape designers and is the founder and design director of landscape architecture and design practice Dangar Barin Smith.

Over the past three decades Dangar has collaborated with many of Australia’s leading architectural and interior design firms to deliver a refined design aesthetic which has resulted in an expansive, widely published portfolio of work. His best-selling book ‘Garden’ was published by Murdoch Books in 2017.

The Robert Plumb brand was conceived by Dangar in the mid 2000’s when he was the contributing Garden Design Editor to Belle Magazine. Seeing a gap in the market for letterboxes he started his own range which has expanded with locally made timber furniture which today is produced by affiliated brand, Cranbrook Workshop.

Further exponential growth has resulted in multiple entities focusing solely on construction services which form the Robert Plumb Collective.
